Wind:

the prevailing wind is a South-Westerly which blows in off the English Channel, funnels down through the centre of the Island and accelerates out of the entrance to Bembridge Harbour, sometimes making for some epic conditions. Silver Beach works in almost all wind directions and, during the summer months, tends to pick up a gentle sea breeze through the afternoon on most days.
