The shimmering turquoise water sheltered bay of Alacati is a perfect spot for learners and improvers. The combination of constant wind and flat shallow water (500-m-long and 400-m-wide shallow section) makes Alacati a particularly good spot for kite-surfers of all abilities.
The region's many open thermal springs invite you to relax after your kitesurfing excursions, and you can also get a massage if you wish, or you can choose out of a big variety of bars and restaurants to spend your evening at.

From most European countries, there are usually also once-a-week direct flights to Izmir. This route is served by charter airlines and can be booked through Öger Tours or Öger Türk Tours. Turkish Airlines, too, operates daily connections from the European countries, but they are scheduled flights and usually very expensive.

The famous Meltemi blows from the north from early June to late September. Usually, the wind is somewhat less strong in the morning, intensifies in the course of the day, before again waning slightly, towards evening. In spring and autumn, the Poyras is the prevailing wind. It blows sideshore from the right and brings nice little waves to Alaçati, which break in the bay.
