Punta Pellaro
Overview:
Punta Pellaro is located on the calabrian side of the Strait of Messina. It's the beach of Pellaro town, 10 minutes south of Reggio Calabria (province of Reggio Calabria), Italy. This spot exploits the powerful influence of the strait of messina on local wind circulation. Perfect with winds from the northern sectors (see statistics) , changing currents may vary the waveshape from flat, to bf 5 and even funny weird shaped waves. Locals are usually kind to visitors, not many speak english.
