Safety Bay

Submitted by WA Surf on Wed, 2008/01/16 - 4:40pm.

Country:

Western Australia, Perth, Australia

Spot Forecasts:

Spot Webcam:

Safety bay is probably one of the best combination sites in the Perth region. It has a butter smooth pond for really loading up on those jumps and landing all those hard blind moves and outside it has a nice chop to boost as well as being a real aesthetically pleasing spot to sail. Blue water, sand and a weed beds is what you'll find on the seabed. Smooth Fremantle doctori sea breezes almost guaranteed every afternoon. It's a sight to see when driving down Safety Bay road, seeing only a hand full out in such great conditions. The pond area is shallow and great for wakeskate and skimboarding. Now and again a slider or kicker will make it's way out there and the fun begins. It's home to the annual "Kite Jam", as can be seen on u-tube.
