Noosa is a very popular spot especially in summer with prevailing NE winds. It can sometimes become a little crowded. If the conditions are right it can be a great spot for flatwater, or moving out of the mouth into wave riding areas (Noosa Main Beach). Great for learning in waist deep warm water.

Beach rules:
The rivermouth is a tourist mecca. It is used by sun bathers, swimmers, families and most important every other type of water craft. It is the entry and exit point for tourist boats who have to navigate the sand bar on low tide. Jet skis and cats are also everywhere. Rules: walk out as deep as possible to launch so you are away from the beach (sandy shallows), keep away from swimmers, once away get out and keep away from the main beach area. Avoid and give way to all other water craft. Always wear a safety leash. Ask the locals for advice and help.
