Abrolhos

Abrolhosi is a squall that occurs from May through August between Cabo de São Tomé and Cabo Frio on the coast of Brazil.

Boreas

Boreasi was the Greek god of the cold north wind and the bringer of winter. His name meant "North Wind" or "Devouring One". It is a strong and cold wind that blows from the mountains and more generally from north. From Boreai derives the actual name of Bora.

Fremantle Doctor

The Fremantle Doctori, or 'The Freo Doctori' is the Western Australian vernacular term for the cooling afternoon sea breeze which occurs during summer months in coastal areas of Western Australia. The sea breeze occurs because of the major temperature difference between the land and sea.

Trade wind

The trade windsi are a pattern of wind that are found in bands around the Earth's equatorial region. The trade windsi, also known as passat winds, are the prevailing winds in the tropics, blowing from the high-pressure area in the horse latitudes towards the low-pressure area around the equator. The trade windsi blow predominantly from the northeast in the northern hemisphere and from the southeast in the southern hemisphere.
