Kite rentals/resorts in NSW or NZ?

Submitted by anonymous on Wed, 2007/10/24 - 2:31am.

I kitesurf in Florida currently. I'll be spending 2 weeks or so around the Sydney area and then another 2 weeks going from Queenstown to Auckland.

I'd like to get some kiting in. I'd need to rent equipment as I won't have my stuff with me. Any suggestions on places I can rent or kite resorts I can stay at?

Thanks

Keith

or at least it is so here in Europe. Most of the guys who look for renting a kite are beginners and schools are not to happy to rent their expensive wings, and if they do it (after checking your IKO card), they ask you a lot of money, usually as much as taking a lesson.
I never had problems renting boards and equipment. In the end a kite is as big as a backpack and it's not too cumbersome to carry in travels.

Have you already looked at Australia and New Zealand pages and tryed contacting the schools close to your itinerary? Or maybe contacting the Australian Kitesurfing Association.
