  1. Q: What is Kiteatlas.com? A: Please find a description of the site in the 'about' page.
  2. Q: How can i add my spot, blog or other content? A: Simply click on the 'add content' button on the right (clicking on 'add content' in the right sidebar navigation has the same effect). You will get all the content types you can submit to the site. Click then on 'Spot' to get to the spot submission. Remember to register first.

  3. Q: A spot detail is not correct, can i edit it? A: Kiteatlas is an open guide where every rider is a welcome contributor. Yes, if you are a registered member, you will see an 'edit' tab link right below the spot name title (the orange title on top of page). Click on it and post your changes. They will be submitted for revision and verification, and published if they add trustable informations for that spot.

  4. Q: I've updated / edited a spot but it hasn't changed...Why? A: Every time a spot is edited by a user, a new revision is created and submitted for moderation to check that the changes are reliable. Once approved, the revision will be published replacing the outdated version (usually this happens in 1-2 working days). Please don't try editing the same spot more than once in few minutes, as your previous changes will not be reflected yet and you'll end submitting many revisions of the same current version of that spot! You can read revisions of spots (yours included) by going to the spot page and clicking the 'REVISIONS' tab (only if revisions are present).

  5. Q: I keep getting the warning: "No post with that title can be referenced" when i try to submit my content. A: This happens because the spot you are referencing to does not exhist yet. Please add your home spot first, and then associate it to the content (school, event,..) you want to submit.

  6. Q: I cannot find the content i just submitted. Why? A: All contents when submitted go through a moderation process by the editorial staff. This to ensure that only high quality contents get published on the site. During this period (usually 1 working day) the content might not be visible. Contents not pertinent with the subject of this site, misleading informations and of course spam and bad taste contents will be removed from the site.

  7. Q: How can i comment others' posts? A: You can leave your personal review of a spot, comment on an event and in general share your opinion on any content on Kiteatlas.com. Just click on the 'add new comment' link at the bottom of any post to get to it's comment form.

  8. Q: How can i find what has been submitted by another user? A: Every time you ad a post on Kiteatlas, this is saved in your profile. To visit your profile click on 'my profile' in the right menu. To see what has been added by your friends or by other riders, click on their name under posts titles (submitted by...), on your buddies names in your buddylist (you have to invite them first) or just type manually the address corresponding to their profile: kiteatlas.com/user/username

  9. Q: What is RSS feed and how does it work on Kiteatlas? A: On Kiteatlas every section, country, category has it's own RSS feed to help you easily track new contents posted in the categories you are interested. You just need to save in a RSS-enabled browser (for example Mozilla Firefox) or in a news aggregator the orange square icon () link you find at the bottom of most pages to be always updated on new articles posted on that page. For example: you might want to be updated of new spots in brazil, or of new kite festivals, or of blog posts of a user,.... More about RSS, tools, functionality.

  10. Q: I found a bug, what shall i do? A: Letting us know any eventual problem or bug in the site will help make Kiteatlas a better place. Please contact us if you found any disfunction. Thank you.
