Tandem backroll...Billy Parker and passenger...20-25 kts East Beach

This has been another awesome week in St. Pete/Tampa Bay. I have taught lessons and ridden all over FL, including Key West, Islamorada, Jupiter, Marco, Sanibel, Ft. Pierce, Matanzas, Miami...and St Pete has it hands down for the variety of riding and accessibility in virtually every wind direction. Why waste time, money, and fuel going out on a boat or jetski? IMHO going to places where you need boats is just polluting the environment unecessarily for no real benefit to the riding or learning experience.

You can access everything by car in the St. Pete area, even ride several spots in one day.

If you have the skills go for a Gulf side down-wind run in the waves for 15 miles...and then take the trolley back to your car for pocket change after a beer and burger. Flat water riding possibilities in every wind direction. Wave riding in SW - W - NW - N winds. Tell me about another place you can do all this - plus the laid back and affordable scene here...and I'm there.

A lot of really good riders and good folks around here too. Come watch Flexifoil Team rider Billy Parker throw some incredible tricks...worth the trip in itself. This dude is a top notch athlete who trains real hard, has great talent, and is humble beyond description (CLICK ON THE PHOTO AND LOOK CAREFULLY)

heh, that guy seems to have all in life: free equipment, good wind and pleasant extra weight tight on his back..maybe a desert island is on the vicinity for an 'emergency' landing? ;)
